The WORDPRO Advantage
The WORDPRO's high-speed digital color copiers and printers use laser technology to bring you 600 dpi print quality for text, photographs and graphics.
Quality and Features
The WORDPRO's digital printers are the most versatile printers on the market today, combining traditional copying capabilities for handling hard-copy originals, with a full-digital feature set for customers with digital color documents.
Our full range of digital color capabilities means greater flexibility for you, with image-handling features such as: reducing, enlarging, photoscreening, cropping, masking, rotating, on-line collating, moving of text and graphics, automatic
signaturing, and more!
Cost
For short to medium length print runs, you can reduce your printing costs substantially when you choose digital color printing over traditional offset methods. Our pricing for full color is competitive with offset printing for print runs up to 5000
per original. The reason is that digital printing does not require the making of plates, as does offset printing. State-of-the-art digital technology means that images can be transmitted electronically into memory, to be stored for further use.
Data only needs to be input once, reducing much of the setup time involved in traditional printing methods. And less setup time means lower costs for you.
Digital color printing is ideal for newsletters, letterhead, envelopes and other short-run jobs that require highlight (spot) color. The WORDPRO's
all digital equipment greatly reduces the cost of this form of color printing. Any color is available and many different
highlight colors can be printed in combination with each other. This equipment can print on paper sizes up to 11 x 17 with a full bleed.
File Storage Capacity...
Digital printing equipment also allows us to store files in memory and print directly from the stored file--whether the project starts out as hard copy or as a disk file! This feature alone has changed the way businesses conduct their printing
operations. The number of copies printed, inventory levels, cash flow for printed materials, time scheduling, and market control are all affected by this new feature.
...Means True Printing on Demand
Printing on demand is an old concept in the printing industry, but a new reality! With our technology, additional copies of any job on file can be printed at any time. This feature is especially important for companies that print manuals or books
for distribution to outside users. If you are at all unsure of the demand of your market, you can print 700 copies of your document one week, and 1000 copies the next. There is no additional setup charge for this service.
...Means Reduced Inventory
The need to project exactly what your market will bear, with regard to stocking your printed materials, is no longer necessary. You'll never have to worry again about over- or under-stocking. The WORDPRO's print-on-demand service puts you back in
control of your inventory levels.
...Means Reduced Up-Front Costs
Thanks to our file storage capability and print-on-demand service, you don't have to lay out huge amounts of cash at the beginning of your printing venture. With offset printing, you were locked into doing just that. Many of those dollars you had
to expend up front were never returned due to unused or outdated inventory. In today's fluctuating market, you need a guaranteed return on your printing dollars, without having to estimate the outcome.
Fast Turnaround of Your Projects
With a color print capacity of 4000 pages per hour, our color digital printing equipment is the fastest on the market today! And if you make use of our internet access and our delivery service, you can get your job to us and delivered back without
leaving your office!

but can also enlarge, reduce, center, and more! Choose from a variety of convenient formats such as 8-1/2 x 11, 8-1/2 x/14, or 11 x 17. Also, back-to-back full color printing, and printing to
cardstock weight paper, are now available.
Highlight Color Copying
Bring the appeal of rainbow bright highlight colors to all your printing projects with the many color options you'll find at The WORDPRO. Choose from the palette of Pantone colors. You can use these colors by
themselves or in combination with other spot colors, as well as black.
Using color in your printed materials will not only capture your readers' attention, but will also increase the readership of your printed materials. Color generates interest, and that means a larger audience for your
printed materials! The WORDPRO makes this cost effective with consistently low prices..

Digital File Preparation Guidelines
Programs Supported by The WORDPRO

Please call us at 257-0700 or 800-833-6601 if you have questions about software versions we support. Our hours are 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Saturday.
Dimensions
For your document's page size, you can use a U.S. Letter (8-1/2" x 11"), Legal (8-1/2" x 14") or Tabloid/Ledger (11" x 17") setup. The minimum acceptable margin is 1/4" on all
sides regardless of the paper size.
It is possible to achieve an edge-to-edge effect by printing a full page size (say 8-1/2" x 11") on a larger sheet (11"x17") and then trimming the page later with a paper cutter. In such cases, customers
should prepare their output file for the larger page size in advance.
Fonts
We support the 35 standard LaserWriter fonts and all Adobe Type 1 and TrueType fonts. Call us before sending your job to verify that we have the particular font(s) you are using in your document. If you wish to use
a font which we do not have, you must send the appropriate files to be installed.
We support LaserWriter fonts in the following styles: Normal, Bold, Italic, Bold Italic, Dropshadow, and Underline.
Exceptions are: Symbol, Zapf Chancery, and Zapf Dingbats, for which only Normal, Dropshadow, and Underline are supported (e.g., do not use BOLD with these fonts!).
NEVER use Outline as a typestyle option; we do not support it for any font.
Colors
For files containing color, all color models are supported; however, CMYK produces the best results. Postscript programs such as Adobe Illustrator, typically produce truer colors than
non-Postscript programs do. The WORDPRO does not guarantee exact matching between screen and printed output colors. In general, you can expect screen colors to darken and become more saturated when translated to paper or transparency material.
For Best Results
With Solid Blacks: To produce the best-looking solid black areas on prints from programs allowing user-defined CMYK colors (such as PageMaker, Quark XPress,
and Illustrator),
specify a new black consisting of 60% of cyan, magenta, and yellow, and 100% of black. Do not use this color on areas layered over other large areas of solid color.
With QuickDraw Fill Patterns: Files containing QuickDraw fill patterns (such as dot or hatch-mark patterns) must be printed using a half-tone, rather than a continuous-tone, setting for best results.
With Transparencies: Our experience has shown that large solid areas of color do not print as well on transparencies as on paper. Therefore, we recommend that you use a clear (white) background and apply color to lines and objects when
preparing files for output to transparencies.
